Class of 2009
Laura Stewart
Laura is a 2009 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Ironton High School. While at Ironton she was a member of the Spanish, History, and Science Clubs as well as the Spanish and Math Honorary. She was president of the National Honor Society her senior year. She also participated in Quiz Bowl and WSAZ-TV’s “Best of the Class.” Laura was also very active in the community working on Red Cross blood drives, IHS Band Boosters, Relay for Life, COSI on Wheels, and Secret Santa. During her summers she was involved in the Ohio University Primary Scholars/Academy of Excellence Summer Program, and the Briggs Lawrence County Public Library Children’s Summer Reading Program.
In the fall of 2009, Laura will be attending Marshall University majoring in History.
UPDATE: In 2010, Laura transferred to Milligan College in Johnson City, Tennessee.
